KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, May 15, 2023 – FedEx Express(FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of theworld’s largest express transportation companies, announced theaddition of electric vehicles (EVs) to its fleet in Malaysia, aspart of continuing efforts to reduce environmental impact andpromote sustainable logistics.
The first two EVs were successfully incorporated for parcelpick-up and delivery operations within the Klang Valley. Thezero-tailpipe emissions vehicles contribute to reduced carbonfootprint and improved air quality in urban areas. FedEx willcontinue to expand its EV fleet to help advance emissions reductiongoals in Malaysia.

Throughout the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region,FedEx has deployed electric vehicles in a number of countries, withthe region’s largest EV fleet in China. FedEx has also tested EVsin India, Thailand, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates tohelp advance emissions reduction goals.
FedEx is committed to reducing its environmental impact andworking towards a goal of carbon neutral operations through variousinitiatives. The company recognizes vehicle electrification as akey area in this effort and has set the goal of operating anall-electric global pickup and delivery (PUD) fleet by 2040. Toachieve this, FedEx Express intends to purchase 50% of all new PUDvehicles as electric by 2025 and by 2030.
In addition to vehicle electrification, FedEx has a tailoredapproach to efficient and responsible resource management thatfocuses on reducing, replacing, and revolutionizing both in its airand ground operations. Specific initiatives include the fuelsavings initiatives, investment in renewable energy, andimplementation of sustainable packaging solutions.
